Open for Business
Is your business and/or your life on hold, waiting for some direction? Are you encountering closed signs everywhere you go? You could be suffering from Premature Shut Down Syndrome in combination with Intention Deficit Disorder and just don’t know it. It may be time for a little “divine” guidance on how to claim the good you deserve and fast track your way to success.
Getting back in the game is easier than you might think. It starts with being open to new ideas and new ways of being, whether it’s in our jobs, our relations, or our health. Maybe it’s time to find that Open for Business sign that’s been sitting in storage for more years than you can remember and find a prominent place to display it. Make a plan, take a risk and open the door to infinite possibility. What have you got to lose? Being consciously “open for business” means never having to say, “what if… ”
Limit One Per Person
Do you play the lack and limitation game? Are you convinced that there’s not enough of whatever you want (money, a great job, the newest generation of Smart Phone)? Change happens at the speed of thought. What are you thinking that is standing in the way of the abundant life you know you deserve? This is an infinitely abundant Universe. I’m convinced that those Limit One Per Person signs were the brainchild of some marketing guru who observed that most people respond better to scarcity than supply. (How many Beanie Babies did youThe reality is, there’s no shortage of anything. We live in a no-limits Universe where we can have all the good we’re ready to claim. Let me show you how! have stuffed in your closet?)
Please Check Baggage
Are you that person in airport security lines that everybody despises? The one that takes ten minutes and eight bins to unload all his/her carry on stuff? One of the most profound “signs from God” I’ve encountered is the one at the airport that reads, Please Check Baggage. It’s reminds us that weighing ourselves down with lots of baggage is always optional.
Traveling light makes a lot of sense on so many levels. We often find ourselves toting around a lot of personal baggage that makes day-to-day life unnecessarily burdensome.
For example, there’s simply no need to show up at the annual family reunion carrying a quarter century of “excess baggage” filled with years of resentment and unresolved family conflict.
There’s also no reason to continually pummel ourselves with what ifs, should-have-beens or why-mes. In truth, that metaphorical $25 surcharge to check our baggage is a bargain when you factor in the potential cost of destructive self-sabotage.
Baggage is the past all wrapped up for us in an unpleasant-surprise package. Leaving the past behind us, with all its pain and old wounds is not only good for the soul, but the best way to script the happily-ever-after we’re all looking for. Join me as we explore strategies for brightening our future by leaving the past behind.
Fog Conditions May Exist
Do you find yourself wandering around in a fog, discouraged and confused, looking for just a hint of daylight, (and a very clear, directional sign that says “This Way to Your Dreams!”)? Almost all of us have found ourselves in this predicament at least once in our lives.
There are two types of fog: real and artificial. Real fog is the kind that rolls in from time to time, but eventually lifts, once again revealing the sun. Artificial, man-made fog, however--the kind used for theatrical special effects--is a chemical concoction called “fog juice” generated by a fog machine which can create all the drama we desire with the flip of a switch.
Unfortunately, most of us don’t really need any high tech electronic devices to create frightening, toxic environments – our crazy thinking has been doing that for years.
Wandering around in a murky fog of our own creation makes about as much sense as “Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe…” When we dump our cache of mental fog juice, the jabberwocky goes with it and life starts looking a lot clearer.
